Joining a game and specially the one that involves real life money is fun. But there are many people that will try to take away your stuff in a mean way, or in other word's scam you. How to protect yourself and your items? That should not be too hard if you follow some basic rules.
1. Don't lend anyone your items. Under no circumstances lend items to people - there is a high chance you will not get them back. Yes there are exception but unless you know a person in real life, you should not lend them any of your stuff. And even if you know the person it would be a good idea to ask for collateral, when lending stuff - this way you will have insurance for your items.
2. Offer's to sell your loot and pay you back after. Most of the time if you agree to this, the person will just log off or run away. Never give your items to someone you don't know (even if the person is in your society, you should be very careful). Basic rule is - if he is a trader, he will have PED's to pay you right away.
3. Mentor scam - when someone offers to be your mentor, but ask some sort of payment for this service. Mentor's are always free service (out of good will so to say), even the best mentors are offering to teach you the basic's of the Entropia Universe for free. 4. Trade window does not work - some people will say that they'r trade window is not working and ask you to drop items on the ground, while saying he will do the same with PED's. You might guessed it - it is a scam. He will only take the items. Only use trade window and even then only confirm, when you see that he placed all the PED's you agreed upon in upper part of trade window. In second confirmation you will also see items you have placed and PED's that the trader placed.
