As many people can't decide whether they should deposit or not I though of this project. I know it has been done in the past by others, but Entropia Universe is a dynamic world and changes are made constantly. What worked in the past might not work now or some time in the future. The basic idea is to deposit real life cash to receive 150 PED and try to play the game for a month without exceeding this budget. The only activity I can think of is swunting, as they require less investment then others (crafting and mining if you exclude the mining with rookie finder - but returns are low and not as fun as hunting). The vibrant sweat gotten in the process should cover part of my expenses and would supplement loot gotten from killing creatures. Due to the fact that I can't deposit at this point - the project is scheduled for 11th of December. I will start with
Omegaton M2100 (no amp, until i can buy it, or should I say if I can buy it from PED gotten by swunting) and Vivo T1 from trade terminal. The first mobs will be puny creatures around Port Atlantis. Why I chose such a low damage weapon, the reason is that puny creatures have only 10 HP, so using an opallo would give too much overkill and thus waste of ammo = waste of PED. Usually you have about 3-5 successful sweat attempts on puny creatures that would give at least 3 vibrant sweat per creature and max 20 vibrant sweat.
The output format should be something like this:
Decay of tools = ammount of PED
Ammo cost = ammount of PED
Vibrant sweat gathered = number
Vibrant sweat sold = ammount of PED
Loot = TT value in PED
Loot sold = ammount of PED with markup
Outcome = ammount of PED
Actual result's will be visible only after I was able to sell loot and vibrant sweat. As situation may be tight in terms of money, I will be trying to sell things before i start on next hunt - this might extend the length of project also as some times there are no traders willing to buy specific loot.
Be sure to check how the project goes after 11th of December :)
Took a few days off to enjoy what real life has to offer :) , but returned to continue on this project.
As I decided to swunt puny creatures around Port Atlantis at the beginning I figured there will be no need for high amount of ammo. So will go with 20 PED ammo, no armor, Vivo 1 and Omegaton M2100. Although I do fear that loot from puny creatures will not be good, I will still proceed with them for at least 2 sessions.
I am back after first session on puny creatures and I must say that I have doubts if I should do a second session on puny's. The return is very low in terms of loot. Mostly I got blazar and nova fragments and these are hard to sell even in high quantities. What bothers me even more is that sweat gathered was not the amount I would expect, not even talking about the price and time needed to sell it. On the other hand, swunting takes really long time, as you try to sweat creature dry before you begin shooting at it. This makes you play longer for the money you dedicate to this game. And although fun at first got kinda boring at the end of the session. Oh yes one more thing, as I had limited time, I was not able to shoot all 20 PED of ammo. Session was about 90 minutes long.
Decay of tools = 1,03 PED
Ammo cost = 12 PED
Vibrant sweat gathered = 208
Vibrant sweat sold = 0
Loot = 4,37 PED
Loot sold =
Outcome = -8,66 PED
I was disappointed to say the least, but hey maybe this is just "Lord Random" playing jokes with me. Guess we shall see in the next session. If the results don't improve at least by 50% i will go to bigger creatures to see how it goes there. Bigger creatures would allow me to make more sweat attempts, though on the downside they would also hit me for more damage and possibly more often. Guess it's a give and take situation.
